BV 380, a highly improved variety of brown egg layer from Venkateswara Research and Breeding Farm Pvt. Limited and supplied by Venkateswara hatcheries is a rage among the farmers due to its high production potential and easy rear ways. This breed is recommended for cage rearing, widely reared as a caged layer with low feed inputs BV-380 variety of layer was phenomenal. It has much to do with its laying potential of above 300 eggs per layer in one year. The eggs are large-sized, above 60 gms in most cases, with hard brown shells with less tendency to break.
