KVK established Agro-Processing Incubation Hub for processing of fruits and vegetables with the support of Govt. of Kerala during 2017. APIC focused mainly on supporting the entrepreneurs with technologies on processed products from fruits and vegetables (viz., Jack fruits, carambola, Papaya, Lovi-Lovi, fig, mango, guava, Bilimbi) which are abundant in homesteads but mostly go waste. In 2018 jackfruit has been declared as the state fruit of Kerala. KVK being the pioneer institution working on jackfruit for over a decade, Kerala Govt. elevated as Agro Processing Incubation Hub cum State Resource Centre for Jackfruit and funded Rs 1.0 crores. The centre has established advanced production lines in tune with the demand of entrepreneurs and the market. KVK also provides technical support to entrepreneurs through SRC. The support includes;
