Primarily deals with the Technology Assessment, Demonstration of its Application and Capacity Development in Fruits, Vegetables and Flowers. The division was instrumental in introducing the cultivation of tropical hybrid Cabbage (NS 160 and NS 183, Green Voyager), Cauliflower (NS60N), Carrot (Super Kuroda), tomato hybrid Arka Rakshak, Yard Long Bean variety Geethika in the district. There are also interventions taken up for improving the production, productivity and profitability of banana cultivation in the district.
Some InitiativesThe division is also engaged in producing technology products, quality vegetable seeds, seedlingsand grafts of jackfruit varieties. Various capacity building programmes like training, method demonstrations are also done by the division.
