Protected Enclosure for Free-Ranging (PEFR) poultry coop –a humane way of rearing poultry
PEFR coop is an alternative system of rearing poultry birds wherein the birds have enough space for all their activities. The basic size of the PEFR poultry coop is 60 Sq.ft. and can easily accommodate 25-30 numbers of birds with a provision of 2 sq. ft. per bird. The PEFR poultry coop features a neat design consisting of 3 basic parts – a run, a roost and a nest. The coop is a boom to all those urban and semi-urban farmers who want to rear poultry birds but are not able to due to lack of space. It is a protected free-ranging model.
