Agro Product Incubation cum State Resource Centre for Jackfruit is a 100-lakh project sanctioned in 2017 and funded by the Department of Agricultural Development and Farmers’ welfare, Govt. of Kerala for the establishment of State Resource Centre for Jack fruit with the following objectives.
* To establish advanced Production lines in tune with the demand of entrepreneurs and the market
* To act as an incubation centre for upcoming entrepreneurs
* To act as a knowledge and resource centre for Jack fruit
* To act as a catalyst and develop potential processing technologies on jackfruit.
* To set up a quality control lab for processed products
* To facilitate technology transfer on participatory approach in collaboration with potential entrepreneurs
Machinery for the production of Vacuum fried chips, Jackfruit Pulp, Jack Pasta and Freeze-dried Jack; Quality Testing laboratory for analysis of food items and well-furnished incubation facilities are established under the project.
